Great App

This app Really helps me to track food, exercise, and stay on diet.

Love it!

Used it a few weeks; love it! Great calorie counter. Food guide is cool. Easy, easy to use. Love the green box when I end a day good on consumed calories in the green.... Hate when in end in red. How easy can it be?!?!

Simple to use

I used the website before I had a smart phone years ago. Theres just something about the simplicity of this app & website that kept me using it. I like how I can display the net carbs which is great for people counting carbs but get tired of subtracting fiber from the amount.

Great app helps to track all factors to fitness

Mostly easy to input data and retrieve data. Could use improvements in some areas. 1. Adopting new foods (sometimes this is difficult or impossible especially with unique restaurant foods) 2. Adopting more kosher brands. This has been a challenge because even after I have entered a food not on the standard list it often cant be retrieved. 3. Adapting exercise measures not standard are also challenging. Example has stationary bike at 10, 12, and 15 mph but not anything in between.

Longtime user, best app out there.

Ive been a member of Fat Secret since 2011. When the smartphone app became available, I jumped right onboard. The database is so large I cant think of a single time that I wasnt able to find a food Id eaten. Ive tried My Fitness Pal but its too cluttered and not as user-friendly as Fat Secret. Im also a member of Weight Watchers Online, and I log daily in both apps. Whats nice about FS is that I can track my weight daily whereas I have to wait an entire week to log my WW weight. Theres something about having that daily commitment that really keeps me on point. Im also a fan of the fat-carb-protein breakdown that you can see on the desktop site, so I wish they could bring that to the app. Since you can still see your total grams of each macro at the top of your food log, you can do the math in your head, but that pie chart is hot. ☺️

Great way to keep track

Easy to use. Its easy to personalize the settings to fit your own needs. As good as some of the apps that you have to pay for. Great community and recipes as well.

Love this app!!! Love how it keeps your history no matter how long its been...also love the food selections and how most restaurants are there...

Good program

Its a nice program. But the weigh in needs to be able to go back to days missed to add the weigh ins.

Diabetes help

Been using app for 2 weeks, has been great for my diabetes. My A1C has dropped from 7.6 to 6.7 in 14 days. It gives you an immediate reading of number of carbs consumed for each meal which is vital in insulin injection. App is easy to use and works great with the Heart app on iPhone.

Really Helpful App

This app as been really helpful in tracking my food. Its has made me think twice about some of my food options. I find my self looking up some foods before I order so I will know about the calories and the sugar content.

Ive been using this app for a couple of years. I use it every single day and it is so helpful in keeping me accountable. Idk what Id do without it. Its simple and its amazingly versatile!!! Ive tried a few others, this one is the absolute best!!!

It works if you work it

A great calorie counting app. If youve counted calories (or fat grams, or any other food stat) manually, youll love the ease of doing it digitally. FatSecret makes it really easy - tons of foods (including brand names) to chose from, adjustable portions, etc. If you cant find the food youre looking for, just google the food and fatsecret - theres often an entry from another country that will suit you. (I live outside my country of origin and this is a helpful feature for me). You can also save entire meals and recipes so you dont have to re-enter entire groups of specialized foods. You can also enter exercise. This is a great app to help you stay conscious of what you eat, which is a necessary first step to changing your eating patterns.

Great app...but

Ive used off and on since 2011. Tried others but always come back to this one. Couple of tweaks Id like to see: 1. Older versions had an option to enter, say .33 of something. If you cant go back there, pls put 1/3 in toggle-especially since 3tsp=1Tbs and many things are in TBs. 2. Wish it could sync with Fitbit, for sleep, and polar ft7 hrm for exercise duration, calories heart rate, etc. 3. Many people eat 5-6x/ day. Would like to see the categories changed to meal 1, meal 2, meal 3.....4,5,6. Also people who are training eat every 3-4 hours and others have different shifts/schedules so an option to include meal times would be great as well.

Less clunky than MFP, counts NET carbs

Was using My Fitness Pal for years but every update made it more difficult to use for me, to the point that I stopped tracking. Got recommended this app by the LCHF/Keto diet community because it tracks net carbs at a glance. The app is attractive and easy to use. One complaint, when Im trying to create a recipe from barcode scanner ingredients the app seems to forget Im trying to build a recipe and just tacks the items onto my breakfast log. One request: this app allows me to track macronutrients easily but Id love to see micronutrient information somewhere, prob not "at a glance" but Id like to see if Im meeting my goals on average. It would really take your app to another level to allow a single app to track food, weight, exercise AND larger health goals like correcting vitamin and electrolyte deficiency through food.

Love this app! I use it everyday. I have searched a while now for a free app that lets me track and customize my own macros as I am on a specialized diet. This is by far the best one and I will stay loyal.
