I have appreciated the help and guidance Fat Secret has given me for years. Most foods are listed regardless of where you got them. If not you can add them easily. I also like the category lists such as favorites, most often eaten, recently eaten and search with four sub categories.

Great calorie tracking app

This app is great unless your food isnt in the database and then its a bit of a guessing game. That said I havent found many things that arent on the list.

Ive lost weight.

Its as the title. Im not obese or complex as other people that likely require a lot of effort, but this helped me track my calories easy. With limitation Ive lost some weight. Ill keep going until satisfied.

Have tried many same kind of apps, this one is the one I have kept using for the longest time, and is the one I have recommended to all my friends who is trying to get more control of their diet. Its really simple and straightforward, not like the famous "fitness pal" that could be quite confusing and complicated to use...

It has a macro counter!!

Love this app!! So easy to use, navigate, and adjust. I love that you can watch your macros bc Im carb cycling. You can even adjust your daily levels of protein, fat, and carbs. I love the layout and it has a zillion foods. Not sure about international fruits and veggies, but its ever-expanding! Get it!! Use it! Love your body!

The app is the best one that I have found for helping you track your food. When you scanned food it is not always accurate and you have to try to adjust it with the amount. It would be nice if that was changed. Some foods are hard to find and I have to Google them and then find something that is similar in the app to record the calories. This app also helps you to maintain your weight. Even though I exercise on a regular basis I appreciate that you do not have to input your exercise. I dont really want to know how many calories I am burning while exercising. I think this is too much of a mind game.

Updates

I started this program a few months ago and quit. No reason other than off track. Started again this week and love the updates! Much easier to use! Gonna stick with it this time!

Does most of what the PC App does

Still has a few things that drive me nuts about it! The community is great! The app developers are supportive. But you cant see challenges or bulletin board posts or private messages or other peoples diaries from the smartphone apps. And for me, these are where its at. I dont want to have to log on to my computer or laptop to access the full functionality of their site. My phone goes with me and is what keeps me on track and the time I use to access this app is in "fill in" moments" not huge blocks I would use to sit down at my PC. So the smartphone apps need to get with it!

Its been a wonderful app! Helps me keep my carb and calorie counts which causes me to be more cautious about what I eat. So far Ive lost 13 pounds and am hoping to continue the trend! ?

Keeps me accountable

Having a daily budget of calories (calculated for me based on my physiology and my goals) is helping me plan meals better. Most of the foods I eat are in the database, which is nice, and if theyre not, I can input my own data. So far, Im on track with reaching my goal and seeing that keeps me motivated to continue making healthy choices.
