Best Ive found for tracking calories and nutritional info. Food diary is a must for success with weight loss.

Great app

Great app that Ive been using to control my calories and Ive lost 10 pounds so far. I love that there are no ads and it doesnt get in the way of tracking calories.

Does most of what the PC App does

Still has a few things that drive me nuts about it! The community is great! The app developers are supportive. But you cant see challenges or bulletin board posts or private messages or other peoples diaries from the smartphone apps. And for me, these are where its at. I dont want to have to log on to my computer or laptop to access the full functionality of their site. My phone goes with me and is what keeps me on track and the time I use to access this app is in "fill in" moments" not huge blocks I would use to sit down at my PC. So the smartphone apps need to get with it!

Does everything it needs to! Easy to use interface. The FatSecret community is very encouraging and supportive. Ive lost over 20 lbs with the app.

Too much wrong with this app to even bother explaining. Dont waste your time.

So far so good.

The app is ok! But some important options are missing. I can not export my menu as text. After creating a menu for today, I want to share it. The breakfast consists of this and this, lunch is as fallows, etc. PDF is not suitable. Building a menu itself is also time consuming. It is not obvious how many fats carbons and proteins is still to add. Click the report al the time is annoying. I want to see it on the diary page. The order nutrients are listed should be available for reorder. In Russian we put Proteins Fats and Carbons. And getting used to another order is confusing. And one more VERY IMPORTANT THING! Recently consumed products should appear in breakfast lunch dinner and everywhere. I created something. Added it for breakfast. Then I go to lunch and I have to search for it again. I tried to add #tags. Searching for products using tags didnt work. I want either "created by me" tab or recently eaten products in every meal. Good luck to you guys!

This app is so easy to use. Just play with it.

Just updated again and still needs some tweaks!

Latest update works well, but its still better to use on the PC for most functions! Without your phone though you cant track as you go and that defeats the purpose! With your iPhone only you miss private messages sent to the PC version, you can now get into others profiles but still cant see their diary entries, or online posts or get on bulletin boards, cant see challenges, the recipe lookup on the phone is disorganized ; it has gotten better since the last upgrade, but the PC version is still superior in most things. The diary entry algorithms and format on the iPhone however are MUCH more user friendly! Good job!! Havent seen them flash a cookie ads in awhile. Its been more fitness ads! Users enter the calorie and nutrition data and Ive been looking up their data online for over a year now while Ive kept a food journal and appreciated the information stored. The interface with the health program works. It desperately needs to keep a summary of your fluid intake for the day with your other summary nutrition information though. It also should allow you to choose NetC or Carbs on your percentage read out since thats what your macros are really based on most times. I also wish the macro display would show your macro goals as a dashed line in the circle or a highlight or something when they show you what your actual total macros were for the day. And it would be much more appropriate to be able to choose whether we wanted to display carbs or net carbs in that macro calculation graph, or both! After more use I also wish more of the exercise information transferred to the health program, but Im semi-happy with this program and being able to add my own recipes and get nutrition information. I also wish I could set up my own number of meals for the day, or even separate snacks instead of one generic snack. Its minor, but annoying as I eat small meals often because of health issues and lumping them all together makes for confusing information. (Even being able to put a note indicator or time value on a food item in a meal would help, but I understand its a record level change.) I like the new change to following or follower of people. I wish that we could tag comments with love or dislike as well as they are put on peoples journals. An easier way to enter photos not tied to a meal would be good as well!

I love the library of foods, how it helps me balance carbs, fats, protein! Very easy to use and excellent for recording and keeping records.

Very nice calorie tracker

I just started using this app, used to use my fitness pal, also tried many others. I got tired of the ads. I wanted something ad free and easy to use this app does just that. My only complaint is their is no water tracker included. If you want a good tracker then look no further this is the one in my opinion. I am not one to writer reviews at all but felt I should reach out to others who also want to lose weight and get in shape.

Macro percentages are calculating incorrectly

First, I have to say that I love this app and it helped me lose 65 pounds. But I have recently started tracking macros and there is a bug in the reporting that is figuring the macro percentages incorrectly. Protein and Fat values appear to be switched. This is so frustrating! I am still able to figure them by grams, which is more accurate anyway, but the percentages give a fantastic visual snapshot of where I am. Also, I would really like this app to go back to defaulting to the food diary page. I have absolutely zero interest in seeing what other people are eating. And finally, Id love to see the macros, nutrients and calorie reports default to today. Again, Im not as interested in my weekly values. They are nice to see, but I need the information for "today" all day. Otherwise, great app. You get 5 stars when all of this is addressed!

Love the app! Its excellent! It is easy to use and the food lookup library is extensive! If I cant find what Im looking for, in the serving size Im having, I can easily add it!

Needs flexible name/number of meals

For the most part I like this app. Personal trainer had me download it so she could track my progress. I work an odd schedule and I eat breakfast at lunch or dinner at breakfast time. I would like to have the option to rename the meals to times like myfitnesspal. Or even to add more meals besides B/L/D and snacks. Overall its a good app, the social media aspect of it is pretty cool along with recipes and photo sharing.
